Ananda as shot by Melissa Grimes last week.
one picture is worth a 1,000 Dharma words when you’ve got a yogini like Ananda as your subject!
today, riding back home after my Club Ride*, i saw Ananda coming home from the gym (hey, Flag is a small town!). She had put in 20 minutes on the treadmill, 10 minutes on the elliptical, and then cranked off her custom; Pregnancy Strength Training Program which we will release as a Pay Per PDF on the WF Online Catalog this fall. as you can tell by these pictures, she looks GREAT…40 years YOUNG! go WF! i love her attitude throughout these pregnant months, “I know there are going to be a lot of things i cannot control about giving my baby her first breath,” she told me, “so i am just making sure i am doing my best in the things that i can control. that is why i am so happy to have found WF!”
Noble Ones,
we don’t just’have babies.’ We receive them. They pick us – according to the yogic tradition – contingent upon the Strength of our Practice. A new Soul is attracted (via Vibratory Frequencies, if you will) to the incarnation based upon that Soul’s unique karmic constituency and Samskaric Journey. the yogic scriptures clearly reveal the fact that if we can keep our Practices strong and our attitude kind and our goals on the spiritual podium during this lifetime, then our Soul will attract one or at best two parents that are yogis. Of course, our Bardo Fitness through the various Stages of the Bardo Realm, also dictate what kind of parents we usher. Thus, if we do our Work well in our Daily Life and in our Dying Realms, we can ‘pick up’ our Soul Work in a loving, nurturing, spiritual environment provided to us by parents that are both yogis in our next life.
Conscious Parenting of a placenta requires monk like degrees of Renunciation, Selflessness, Awareness, Sensitivity, Patience, and Meditation to communicate with the Unborn. The Buddha said that anyone that incarnates as a Human, has spent countless lifetimes as a mother. The key is to reMember (with) our Mothering Skills to keep the genetic and spiritual evolution of our Species rising Higher, not lower. And do not think for one m(om)ent that there is not a WHOLE lot of mothering in being a father!
