The Benevolence of the WF Dharma

i got to TAF’ing about Benevolence and Dharma after enjoying, well, relishing the Race Report from Master Student L’Gaté’s Imogene pilgrimage (see DL this week).

then i got to TAF’ing about Lance’s return to the Tour de France…

i’ll save my Lance TAF’s for the SanghaLounge.

back to what is more important for our Practice of Wholeness (aka; yoga);
Benevolence and Dharma.

for those of us that use WF as a way through all our ‘terrible stuff’ (laziness, attachment, negative patterns, etc…), it’s a wise idea to back off the throttle of obsessiveness for ‘structure’ in our training and simplify the incredible beauty and power of the transformative capacity of the WF Lifestyle.

in other words, we allow Benevolence to arise from doing what i coached L’Gaté to do in my pre-race instructions to him,
“Trust The Dharma.”

***

Trust the Dharma
and Benevolence will arise.

***

what does that mean when i coach you to,
“Trust the Dharma”?

my understanding of the dharma* comes with a sense of profound depth yet lightness and refers to that mystical, magical divine process that ‘steve ilg’ is co-designing each moment with God – aka in yogic terms as Brahman, Shiva, and Vishnu…or the ‘waves of the universal life force(s).

the dharma, according to my understanding which might not quite be a model you are comfortable with, is a divine system designed by It All to help me spiritually evolute my Awakening until my Enlightenment.

so when i trust the dharma, i am trusting that benevolence will arise and provide for me whatever ‘cleaning up’ i most need to do next.

learning to trust the dharma requires faith. most especially in our Teacher(s) for it is They through which the dharma flows.

a sense of relaxation and even spiritual serenity arises from deeeeeep within us as we better equip our egos to surrender into dharma. this does NOT mean however, that our every moments will be graced with nice and neat and happy benevolence.

no siree, bob.

as we all know in this Path, benevolence is not synonymous with ‘nice’.

in fact, our most benevolent teachers come often in the form of very frightening endeavors, crisis’s, and choices that we may have to force our egos to accept.

Imogene Pass Race provides a classic case of fierce benevolence for her participants. any Being who undertakes the Imogene Pass Race will experience a body/mind effect designed to elevate our spiritual evolution (whether or not we have a Dharma Teacher or a Dharma Wisdom to help us extract consciously and use the spiritual potency of Imogene is beside the point).

when we begin to Trust The Dharma,
we may also begin to see that we are allWays dwelling in benevolence;
that EVERY ONE of us is part of an evolutionary system,
that EVERY THOUGHT, WORD, and ACTION is a Gift…a teaching that we are being given.

can we SEE that?
can we climb into that perceptual position and begin to truly flow within that Dharmic Force?

Go(o)d is always just one teensy, tiny little thought away.

just one thought away.

one thought, one breath
to dissolve all the clutter,
worries,
trepidations,
concerns,
fears…

just as doing intervals aren’t necessarily ‘nice’
they sure are Benevolent to our Wholeness as WF Yogis, right?

same thing with the entire WF Lifestyle;
release the Structure; and Trust The Dharma
to provide the Benevolence of your Practice.

WF SELF-SERVICE PERSONAL TRAINING:

1) identify your weakest Fitness Disciplines from the Five Noble Fitness Disciplines:

* Strength Training
* Cardio
* Yoga
* Meditation
* Nutrition

2) train the weakest one today, the next weakest one tomorrow, and so on until you train your strongest (or most favorite) Discipline on Day Five.

3) Repeat while continuously applying the WF Lifestyle Principles as a common thread (sutra) throughout your day (it may help to re-read the WF Sutra’s in TOTAL BODY TRANSFORMATION).

do this, Noble Warrior, and you will soon be showered with a dharmic benevolence exquisitely timed and applied by the Divine
that will lift you ever Onward, Upward, and Inward with Sacred Joy.

Give your Practice some space.
Don’t always be filling up your time (and mind) with stuff.
Create spaciousness.
The dharma LOVES space.
So does your body, mind, and spirit.

Om So Ti,

your loving coach

* = technically, when the word “Dharma” is spelled with a capital,
it refers to the DhammaPada or The Technical Teachings From The Foot Of The Buddha.
when written in smallcase, the word refers to ‘the way of virtue,’ or that which supports the Higher Reality
