note; this DL is devoted to “Yoda” the wonderful Dog Being and 17 year-old faithful Four-Legged Friend of 2007 HP Yogini of the Year, Leslie. Yoda entered the Bardo yesterday. ilg Trusts that Yoda is already snapping at the heels of the Spirit Horse and both are galloping through the Bardo Stages, intent for a fast and high and noble re-incarnation.

After all, it is no more surprising to be born twice than it is to be born once.

“Death is a vast mystery,” says Sogyal Rinpoche, “but there are two things we can say about it: It is absolutely certain that we will die, and it is uncertain when or how we will die. The only surety we have, then, is this uncertainty about the hour of our death, which we seize on as the excuse to postpone facing death directly. We are like children who cover their eyes in a game of hide and seek and think that no one can see them.”

Among those whose Solo Practice has deepened, a very sacred, direct, dynamic, and surprisingly utilitarian relationship with our countless past lives dances within our cell memories. These memories are ignited by the mindful breathing during meditation and deep asana.

For those who ask,
“If we have lived before, why don’t we remember it?”

Rinpoche explains it thusly;
“But why should the fact that we cannot remember our past lives mean that we have never lived before? After all, experiences—of our childhood, or of yesterday, or even of what we were thinking an hour ago—were vivid as they occurred, but the memory of them has almost totally eroded, as though they had never taken place. If we cannot remember what we were doing or thinking last Monday, how on earth do we imagine it would be easy, or normal, to remember what we were doing in a previous lifetime?”
