Most Treasured Friend Along The Path,
May God’s Love Be With You As we collectively engage this new year, i want you all to know how vital is your love, care, and support for my Service, Mission, and Karma Yoga of Wholistic Fitness™. It was November of 2010 when i last extended my humble Begging Bowl as a Fitness Monk for your consideration of a Temple Tithe – regardless of amount – to keep me racing for the rest of this winter and through the Iron Horse Bicycle race which takes place over my 50th birthday on May 27th, 2012.
i depend on YOUR Tithes to keep me racing which is growing out of reach for this new daddy warrior. i remain firmly convicted that Western mountain and outdoor athlete yogis are the Warrior Caste of Kali Yuga and that a wholistic approach to competitive sweat will one day be recognized for the tremendous transpersonal catalyst for advancement of spiritual value for all beings: “We may discover that sports and physical education, reformed and refurbished, may provide us the best possible path to personal enlightenment and social transformation in this age.” George Leonard wrote that in the sixties.
Nearly 40 years later, you may notice that it seems Wholistic Fitness™ remains one of the few Paths that continue – through thick and thin – to forward this notion of Sacred Sweat. That is what makes my writing and Teachings stand out from all the rest. In order to continue influencing and inspiring transformation through sports and sweat, i need your help today…please consider a Temple Tithe as you read my ever-ambitious racing goals for the glorious snowy months ahead.
As you notice in all my websites, blogs, Facebook sites, work, and books; there are no advertisements. I accept no money from non-students. i remain a 100% Student Supported and Dharmically-driven athlete. i refuse to monetize the Dharma which comes through the feeble conduit known as ilg.
Dharma Blessings upon your Practice!

Immediate Racing Goals and Financial Needs

- Road Racing equipment, licensing, travel, entry fees = $2,500
Racing is important, not just to me, but for the worldwide Tribe of Wholistic Fitness® students, fans, and friends. Readership spikes by over 50% whenever I race. I use my races as spiritual grist for the mill of upcoming blogs, books, DVD’s, and other media teachings to help inspire others. Even my own mother, in the hospital beside my dying father looked at me with grief tears flooding her face said, “Oh, how he loved reading about your racing…i swear it kept him alive as long as this!” As you may recall, last year, i drove straight back to Durango after my father died and toed the Start Line of the Iron Horse in a depleted physical/emotional space yet spiritually offered the race weekend to my dad as a type of Pilgrimage and finished 9th in the Combined Event.
Many of you have mentioned how deeply you enjoy and benefit from my race teachings. Now, I need your financial help to keep competing! i want to DEEPLY THANK Fischer Skis for sponsoring my super fast nordic skis, bindings, and boots.
If you can help me,
I will continue to fiercely sweat and compete to my Highest Capacity with your name and spirit blazed in my mantra chain all the way through the winter…

Precious L’Gate!
you outta know better!
hardly…with my new Fischer sponsorship, i have to prioritize nordic ski races thus, ilg will be spilling the Sacred Sweat at NordicFest! also; the MOST IMPORTANT thing about Tsidool (Mt. Taylor) is to have the Sacred Mantra uttered upon her sacred slopes by either myself or a WF Student…this year, we will have at least 2 WF Yogis Taking Pilgrimage to Tsidool; WF Online Shishya Julie “Padma” Mueller (2nd time as a Soloist) and HP Yogi Brad “bRad” Tafoya of Durango on his first solo attempt. however,…good news for those who love to hear about their broken-back yogi contest Tsidool: i am planning to solo Tsidool next year as a Sacred Pilgrimage to my 50th year (Gregorian Calendar at least)! wanna knock her off with me? that would be your cOMpletion of the WF Sacred Triad: Imogene, Iron Horse (to be done this May), and..well….c’mon, baby…you’ve come THIS far!!!! TSIDOOL!
love,
ilg
