for those us into Intensive Parenting; how many of you recognize this look from your little Guru when you attempt to gain their attention from their very limited “Screen Time” per day? they are out of it…so absorbed by the high frequency wavicles of the Screen…never, ever doubt the brain-takeover of Screen Time; limit it!
pic today in my office of Dewa in my “Captain’s Chair” as M(om)my was out for a run. Dewa LOVES to use her very limited Screen Time (1 hour daily, is our perceived effort) to watch “HORSELAND” on Netflix via my iPad in my office while i work.
Honestly, i try to limit it to 40 minutes. That’s one Horseland and one Dinosaur Train.
Ananda,
and you are mighty fierce, must say…yet, it pays off, cuz when she is on my watch and wants to watch more, it doesn’t take much to get her to close the iPad/Laptop…never have a big challenge getting her away from the Screen…so, thank you…you are an amazing mother…
head bowed,
your much more feeble partner
We too limit our kid’s screen time. If we let them, the two younger ones will stay on screen for hours. You are lucky Dewa even looked up; oftentimes my kids won’t even flinch when I come home from work if they are on a screen, much less look up and aknowledge me. And then getting them off can be a huge challenge. Gotta get em outdoors or into a book. Of course now books are digital.
Warrior Tobe!
ilg Hears thee! Shiva danced upon my recent trip, allowing ilg to glimpse for 17+ hours of people and families traveling…could barely distinguish many from robots; headphones = on, cellphones = on, tablets = on, laptops = on! pheweeeeeeee! glad to get back to the unplugged gurgle of the Sacred River and course whispers of geese wingbeats…
