Even in the greatest yogi, sorrow and joy still arise just as before. The difference between an ordinary person and the yogi is how they view their emotions and react to them.

An ordinary person will instinctively accept or reject them, and so arouse the attachment or aversion that will result in the accumulation of negative karma.

A yogi, however, perceives everything that rises in its natural, pristine state, without allowing grasping to enter his perception.

Chronologic birthdays are considered kleshas (afflictions) in WF Master Studies. Their tendency to add interruption and drama to the flow of life is not conducive to spiritual ascesion.

according to yogis, the ‘birth’ occurs when the Atman enters the foetus…when this happens, the M(om) will feel the first ‘kick’ of the baby…it’s kinda like a ‘crash landing’ from the Re-Entry Realm. just because we happen to slither out of the uterus on a given day is secondary, although the Advanced Souls will ‘time’ their Re-Entry on Auspicious Days as a “heads up” to sincere and devoted Practitioners**.

of course, as an Eastern Teacher masquerading as a Western Fitness Guy,
i have learned however, to Play the Game of birthdays. my trick is to play the Game without buying into them.

Read DL and just wanted to wish you a happy birthday:-)
I just celebrated my 22nd last Friday within the walls of the iron temple with Green Tara’s intervals as my candles and my sweat(oh, all of the sweet sweat) as my wish. So much ,we as people in general, forget to look deep within ourselves to find who we truly are. You are so right, this is truely an inner journey.

I’ve recieved my WF Blessed Mala Beads from you the other day,along with all of the other wonderful items that I ordered, and followed the directions that were enclosed with them. WOW, as soon as I picked them up I just couldn’t put them down. I meditated with them right away. The beads just pulled me in. I never felt that way before. I was so FOCUSED!!!! Wore them tonight on my mountain bike ride and found myself climbing hills SSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO steep and rough that would normally cause me to dismount.By the way, Love the craftsmanship.

One more thing, the WF INTRODUCTION DVD!, I LOVE IT. MAN that little segment ( WF.COM Promo) gets me SO PUMPED . Seing you in action on the bike, strength training,ect…you just flow with the music. That short but empowering video just… how can I say this…
KICKS ASS!!!!!! Great job to everyone who had put effort into that video.

sitting atop my Swiss Ball, yoga toes firmly in place, first SINCERE session of new Toilet Yoga fully completed.� awoke with such inner knowingness and conviction. my body embraced this new practice like a long lost love. 3 bowel movements this morning….3!! Neti went beautifully. coach was there (energetically) to guide. besides a little “brain Freeze” i think perhaps i used to much sea salt;) all was beautiful. i had been doing it all wrong. pranayam was FREAKIN OM-BELIEVABLE!! talk about stirring the CHI beyond the limited awareness most call MOTIVATION. what truly tapped in entity needs motivation? what animal needs motivation? if you feel the need to be motivated…your CHI is blocked;)

thank you both for loving this Crazy Q with all his crazy ways. you have shown me true love. never did i receive more SHAKTIPAT than with simply rolling packing stuffer around pictures!;) you and the Wolf cleansed my mind and allowed me to see….ME again.
