so…feeble, know-nothing ilg TAF’s that if i could have Shakyamuni (the original Buddha) over for dinner tomorrow night, i TAF that He would sheepishly squirm at this whole “Buddhism Thing” in general. if ilg knows ANYTHING about my Direct Experience of countless Buddha Meditation hours over 3+ decades? He’d be like, “I never intended an entire religion to be based upon and using my name…all Feeble Buddha was saying and attempting to Teach is, ‘Find out these wholeness Teachings for your own Self…before you die.’ ” (remember, Noble One Along The Path, the dying words of Buddha were; “Ripe is my age, short is my life, leaving you I shall go. I have made myself my refuge. Be diligent, mindful and extremely virtuous. With thoughts collected guard your mind. In this doctrine and discipline by living strenuously, you will escape the cycle of rebirth and put an end to suffering.”)
The Two Things Ilg Would REALLY Love To Ask Whomever Is Considered The Most Learned Buddhist On This Plane(t) At This Time:
1) What’s up with the completely dualistic Word Choice of “Right” in the Eight-fold Path? Why Didn’t He Use The Word Choice Of “Appropriate” Instead of “Right”?
and
2) The Buddha was certainly one of (if not) the most wholistically-fit yogis of His time.
How cOMe so many contemporary “Buddhists” are so un-fit in a wholistic sense?

The Buddha might answer but would probably just smile
At the time people were far less educated. They needed a certain ‘dualism’ to words to punctuate their importance. To understand history one must have patience, gratitude for our human faults, humility for our own failures & respect to the fact that Buddha was right… There is a path for all of us, we can take it if we choose: It’s the path of least resistance: Dualistic & paradoxical to all other paths. The Buddha was trying to show people a path that only then had been conceptualized. Until then, people often did things that only made their suffering worse. Buddha was Right, to teach Right. I notice that you do the same things, a word when used as a title is far less meaningful than the love that the word was spoken in. Murky my cat doesn’t seem to mind that he doesn’t even know my name or speak my language.
I would ask the Buddha a different question. “If he were to find himself on a train track, & a train was coming at him full speed, would he move?
What is not perfect NOW, HERE…??? WHY EVER MOVE?

Question 1: Why did Buddha use the term right, which is dualistic?
Perhaps Buddah was speaking of two different worlds:
– God and knowledge
– the illusory world of perception in which we belive we live.
In order to meet us where we believe we are, a dualistic world, and to offer practical teachings, perhaps Buddha further divided our perceptions into right and wrong.
His dying words are full of dualistic terms: diligent, mindful, virtuous. Likewise he urges his disciples to guard their mind. Against what would one guard? Perhaps the wrong-minded thoughts that are the opposite of thoughts such as being diligent, mindful and virtuous.
Question 2: How cOMe so many contemporary “Buddhists” are so un-fit in a wholistic sense?
Perhaps contemporary “Buddhists” mistake form for content, denying the value of the body for virtuous purposes, because they deem the form to be illusory or unworthy and not to be valued.
Or perhaps contemporary Buddhists do not see the importance of the body as a communication device in their relationships and as a learning device in the most helpful experiences of our lifetime.
