Namaste Noble Warriors!
“This is how a human being
can change:
there’s a worm addicted to
eating grape leaves.
Suddenly, he wakes up,
call it grace, whatever, something
wakes him, and he’s no longer
a worm.
He’s the entire vineyard,
and the orchard too,
the fruit, the trunks,
a growing wisdom and joy
that doesn’t need to devour.”
-Rumi
Be consistent in your workouts and Practices
before the weekend Holiday
especially if you are spending time with family.
WF Warriors are not workout addicts
so don’t push your family out of the Way of your workouts this weekend;
instead,
invite them to participate
even if that means
taking a silent moment
doing a yoga squat with them
or just smiling and practicing Patience with family members
make this holiday time
a holy time;
practice Wholeness
here is some input from you all from my emails this morning…
i am Blessed because you are on the planet, caring about your body and your
presence,
i bow to you,

Teacher Ilg,
Namaste. A note of appreciation for today’s Daily Meditations. In counseling
with my client’s I stress the need for movement and the breath in overcoming
depression and anxiety. I refer to “3 basics”, asking the client to monitor
sleep, nutrition, and physical activity. I prescribe an “appointment with
yourself,” a ten minute exercise in following the breath. When teaching beginner
skiers, I see the paralysis induced by fear and anxiety(and a lack of respect for
the breath). My first statement to each fearful student is “breathe!” After
working with Teacher Sheader, I prefer intervals myself! May your practice
remain strong and focused.
Namaste,
Student Scott Adams

Coach:
The past couple of DL’s have been great. An added benefit of cardio
commute is that you can use your time wisely. For those of us who have
other obligations (family etc.), getting out to ride can be hard. I
commute to the office a couple of times a week. It only takes me about
10 minutes more than the drive/train. I joined a gym near my office
that has full lockers, so I can put my clothes in there. There is
always a way to cardio commute where there is a will.
I also wanted to thank you for WF. The last cycle has been hard for
me, because I have been so busy. I was feeling bummed about this. But
today, at a yoga class, I reflected on how far I have come since I
started WF in November. I was ten pounds overweight, had back pain I
couldn’t shake, ate junk food, and wasn’t in shape. Today the back is
ten times better, I am fit enough to hang with the Cat. III racers on
the club ride, I am more flexible, and more focused because of
meditation. So, thanks coach, and especially thanks to Coach Sheader.
