“To say that we stretch muscles is really a non-Truth. What we are really stretching is our minds. Muscle, or more appropriately, connective tissue, must first receive oxygenation to demonstrate elasticity and plasticity. If you contemplate it therefore, it is the conscious action of moving your mental energy into the bodypart you wish to stretch. Once that happens, then oxygen is delivered which is also known as breath. Based upon an individuals strength of mind, clarity, potency of diet, and meditation experience, that breath will contain a substrate of Prana or life force. This is, i think and feel, a leading premise of asana. In my own feeble life experience, i have used the strength of my mind to heal a broken back, separated bones, torn muscle and connective tissue, and biochemical imbalances. i have very average mind strength. the thing is, i just keep Practicing.”
