HAIKU FEVER IN THE TEMPLE!
Okay you all…i TRULY am enjoying the Haiku “WF Dharma” Poems you are sending me…
however,
remember the format!
3 lines…
of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively.
this is why, traditionally, the number of syllables are always kept visible in the right hand margin
to remind the author and reader that SIMPLICITY is everything
and that spiritual Awakening and even Sartori can happen in an INSTANT!
so, keep the Haiku’s coming,
yet really work deep with them…let them simmer for a few days on your desktop…
see if they mature over a few days…then send it in.
i am looking for Haikus that express WF in ALL her faces; strength, cardio, yoga, meditation, herbs, outdoor activity, daily practice of the Lifestyle Principles…go for it, noble Fitness Warrior Poets!
below, note my input to a Haiku submitted this morning…

Coach,
A haiku for you:
“Chaurangas hurt.
I can hear monsoons coming
to pour over push-ups.”

Noble Warrior Luke –
i LOVE the spirit of your Haiku,
yet
i think you have one too many syllables in the Punch (last) Line!
also, your Chaturanga was misspelled.
remember,
5,
7,
5
so i say unto you, my noble Tribal Brother;
with spine straight, breath low (5)
i await a revision (7)
shouting namaste! (5)
love,
the Warrior Poet ilg
