Dear Coach,
You’re one lucky man!
Read Teacher Q’s DL (DL:4/27) today and found it totally moving and profound – you are lucky to have people like him around you – you’re one of the richest people that i know, because the folks who come to you give you their love and respect rather then mere money (money helps in some things in this world – if it was that important then only rich people would be happy -NOT the case).
Thought i’d share a Native American poem i read a while ago and just had to copy from the book, i think it is a great essence of beauty and truth – very humbling. If you haven’t seen it already then i hope you enjoy;
‘Let me walk in beauty
and make my eyes ever behold
the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things
you have made,
and my ear sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may
understand
the things you have taught my people.
Let me learn the lessons you have
hidden
in every leaf and rock.
I seek strength
not to be greater than my brother
but to fight my greatest enemy:
myself
Make me always ready to come to
you
with clean hands and straight eyes.
So when life fades
as a fading sunset
my spirit may come to you
without shame.’
Please keep doing what you’re doing Coach – it makes things a lot better for a lot of people.
Humbly yours,
ranjit
