DL QUIZ WINNER: BRIAN SMALLWOOD!

oh, we had a good number of answers, most of them correct!

however, it was Brian Smallwood (above right, with me), who, moments before hooking up
with me for a 60-mile, 6,000+ vertical monster ride up to the snow line above LA,
sent in the following Email before anyone else:

“I know I am too late but the trivia answer is Petes

then, later, after our ride, Brian sent me another email:

I enjoyed the sufferfest today.Took a nap and watched the Giro, doesn’t get any
better than that.

P.s. Always wear cycling shoes when….cycling*.

* Inside joke: as i waited for Brian to get his shit together for the ride, i noticed that he got all his
cycling clothes together, his gear and bike ready, locked the car and started walking his bike to the
pavement to begin riding. it was only then that i chose to re-Mind him,
“So, Bri..you gonna do this ride in your street shoes?”
you guys shoulda seen the look on Brian’s face when he realized he had forgotten to put on his
cycling shoes!

Bri, enjoy your WF Sweat Towel and keep getting on those podiums! (Brian has won 6 out of 9 races
since we began training together!)
