RUNNING TOWARD PAIN

dear coach ilg,
If I can only take a moment of your precious time. I have been reading Direct Lines for a little while now and it sometimes brings up in me a deep welling of emotion. I have been fit for a long time, but always longed for something to make me feel fit in my entire life. In the past two weeks this has all hit home. My fiancee, who is a workaholic and has trouble managing her stress has been diagnosed with a facial neuralgia (sometimes called the worst pain known to man). We have reassessed both our lives and the way we live because of this. She has begun reading DL as well and feels that there exists a way to take back control of her life. We are both reading TBT now and it has been uplifting in this trying time. I thank you for sharing your story, your way, and the way of others who are on this path.
– humbly yours, pete

Most Noble Warriors Along The Path Higher,
it is letters like yours that keep inspiring this feeble mountain yogi to keep sharing whatever it is i have to share.

there is a quote by Rinpoche, hidden in today’s DL (see below)…which i will follow with another one in the conclusion tomorrow or so…read it fully
feel it fully.

Pain, regardless of type, manifests so we may Learn.
do not run away from the Pain, however great It may seem.
instead
run toward It, into It
with open arms, open mind and
open heart
run with all your might into yourself.

thank you for reading DL…
may all Beings be Free and Happy in their bodies and minds and hearts…

that is all,

coach ilg
