PRE-RIDE DHARMA: of Pain, Purification, Strength, and Transcendence

It’s dark outstide.
My Father’s stars, shudder in the pitch like flints of Divine steel.
Nearly, i tell you, i can feel the very rotation of my Mother Earth.
The temperature gauge on my back porch reads 35 degrees.
Yesterday’s fatigue from Practice still registers in my cells.
In a moment, i will be on my mountain bike, attempting a 5 hour
circumambulation of the San Francisco Peaks.
Not even the younger local studs attempt this one very often.
I will be pushed.
My In-tent remains the same as all-Ways;
to learn s(om)ething more about my innate Buddha Nature
so that, perhaps, i can be a better Protector of the Dharma
and a more genuine Teacher for my Sangha.

I may not make it;
It is dangerous if i experience a
mechanical
or…
– spiritual –
breakdown
while high in the upper reaches of the Inner Basin…
“It is the uncertainty of the final outcome,
which truly makes an adventure.” – Gaston Rebuffaut

When i return, i will be to tired to Serve.
So i will leave Treasured You
with this Insight from my Meditation just completed;

If you, like myself, have incarnated in a life that carries with it much Pain…
– Mental, Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, Spiritual –
Then i can share something with you, for when it comes to Pain
i’ve been honored with much of it in my own life and thus can Teach this much:
Where there is Pain,
there is not Pran.
The yogins sva-dharma – or Sacred Duty –
is to replace the Pain with Pran.
This requires steadfast Meditation upon the nature of your Pain.
When Pain begins to be erased and replaced by Pran
that is how Purification results.
After Purification comes Her training effect: Strength.
From Strength comes Transcendence.

All-Ways remember this, Oh Noble Warrior of the WF Way:
Pain, Purification, Strength, Transcendence.

Push not Pain away;
welcome Her many faces
just as i
in this pre-dawn Darkness
welcome
the shudder of steel cold stars
winking above the Sacred Peak
which now calls my Buddha Nature to come and play and…
perhaps,
Learn.

Travel well today,
travel within today…

that is all,

your humble mountain yogi
