“When we have seen Reality, there is not a grain of dust which has not a sublime meaning.”
– J. Vanderleeuw

“Delicate Arch,” one of 2,000 arches in Arches National Monument. Ananda and i set up our camp not too far from this amazing Gift of God. Delicate Arch is the State Symbol of Utah. To mountain yogi’s like myself, however, it is a Symbol of the Gunas (you guys DID do your WF H(om)ework which i told you to do before i left, right?). An absolute miracle which defies physics, Delicate Arch’s dust is about 300 million years old. After Brahman gave birth to the sand, then Shiva came in and began His Destructive Artistry about 100 million years ago using the elements of water (ancient oceans), wind, and gravity. Shiva’s Dance upon Delicate Arch continues to this very moment, and is countered only by Vishnu’s sustaining energy which is strong enough for at least this feeble mountain yogi to capture the Arch as Grandfather Sun slipped beneath Mother Earth on a priceless evening. Unseen behind me, Grandmother Moon smiled upon the snowy crowns of the LaSal Mountains as Ananda and i could not help but shed tears at just how Blessed we are to witness the stunning forces of yoga at work and on display in this moment.
Now, i just gave you the yogic deity perspective upon Delicate Arch, can you image the role of the Guna’s which resulted in this photo? coming in DL, i’ll give you my answer. Yoga is everywhere, if we see with Yogi Eyes. (click photo to enlarge)
