Here i am at work, refining as ever, the philosophies and teachings of “America’s Native Yoga; Wholistic Fitness”. i am on the Temple H(om)e deck during my first meal of the day which usually occurs around noon. At my level of Ahara-Jaya – which should be NO measure of your own food intake vs. caloric expenditure ratio – i rarely eat more than two meals per day, each about 700 calories. For over 20 years, as you know, i rely on my unique approach to using the SUNRIDER Whole Food Herbs for my chi levels, pranic and nadic development, and sports performance across the physiologic spectrum. In the past two days, i tested Wholistic Fitness again with wonderful results; i got 2nd place in a bicycle training race within only a week of specific road bicycle training and yesterday i was in the climbing gym with three teenagers engaged in a most fun testosterone bouldering match and climbed a V4+ climbing route on my second try. That quieted the kids down a little and man did we have fun together; the age barrier once again destroyed by the brotherhood of sweat. Having gained their respect, i was able to impart some dharma in a fun way. Kids WANT to respect elders…it is just that their elders are usually not fit or able to drop into their vibe skillfully enough to gain their respect. And Today? Well…you saw yesterday’s DL, didn’t you?!…across the physiologic spectrum, baby, that is the Rare Dance of genuine Yoga…that is the tradition of Wholistic Fitness!

Keep crankin’ in as many Disciplines as you can; it will pay off! Trust the Wholistic Effect!

“The very word ‘yoga’ means ‘union’. The very word ‘fitness’ means, ‘to knit together.’ Western Fitness training, if performed in the wholistic manner is yoga. In fact, Western Yoga..which is what I call Wholistic Fitness… due to its mulitdisciplined approach, can be of tremendous merit to all other contemplative and yogic traditions, in my opinion. During this spiritual dark age of Kali Yuga, I feel that Western Yoga is a needed handhold for the Higher Ascent of Humanity during this time. I see great contradiction in so-called ‘teachers of yoga’ that do not train their edges across the human’s physiology; mental control while the body is at risk, strength, power, endurance, mastery of food, and lifestyle bravery. To me, it is a sin to the entire notion of yoking Mind and Body with Spirit to confine the notion of yoga to a studio or a specific branch of yoga. Yoga is a Path of radical transformation; we must not forget that. To assume that Enlightenment can occur within the studio asana discipline for instance, is arrogant, lazy, and ignorant. When the internal energetic engine is Clear, then arrives Sacred View; suddenly a bench press becomes as sacred and vital to master as ‘Urdhva Dhanurasana.’ A dangerous rock climbing lead becomes as Sacred and vital as a meditation as is “Siddhasana.” Hammering a hard week of 15+ hours of cardiovascular exercise THEN attempting to do “Hanumanasana”…ahhh…that my Friends along the Noble Path of Awakening, is genuine Yoga. That is Wholistic Fitness…a wonderful Gift of Awakening during Kali Yuga.”
