There are only a few things more delightful to a Mountain Yogi than taking that first step outside after Brahmamuhurti Meditation and getting to shovel fresh, dry-as-a-sock-outta-the-dryer southwest snow…can you name a few?…at this point in your Practice, you should know at least three of the following WF Lifestyle Principles that transform a “chore” into a “yogic Practice that keeps you aimed at Enlightenment”…

…dats right;
1) Earned Sustenance; Service before Self…means, arising earlier than anyone else on your block and before you have that first cup of coffee or Calli Tea, before you enjoy your breakfast, you SERVE OTHERS: you feed the Bird Beings, you feed your Animal Companions (aka;’pets’ to the NonAwakened), you do your Blog, you write a holiday card to someone… basically; you just make sure you “Earn Your Coffee” through Service to Higher Self (meditation) and/or Other Beings.

2) Non Dominant Hand Snow Shoveling… duh, this one was an EASY ONE!

3) Any one or a combination of the following:
* Breath Based Snow Shoveling
* Mantra Based Snow Shoveling
* Postural Based Snow Shoveling
* Gratitude For Snow During Global Warming Based Snow Shoveling
* ADD YOUR OWN HERE
* AND HERE
* AND ENDLESSLY AGAIN HERE…

and;

4) ENGAGED KARMIC SNOW SHOVELING!
of COURSE!!! the ONLY THING better to a Mountain Yogi than shoveling his own snow? SHOVEL THY NEIGHBORS SIDEWALK and/or Driveway!

AND NOW; IT’S TIME FOR A WF DHARMA QUESTION:
DharmaQuestion; why is it that the very people whose bodies reveal the need for more Caloric Output are the ones sitting, addicted to comfort, on those Snow Blowing vehicles or using one of those cursed “snow blower machines”? life in Kali Yuga, eh?

My point, of course, in re-iterating these long-standing WF Lifestyle Principles to you on this Day of Days…is that spiritual practice cannot be divorced from our daily life. the moment we flip that switch in our heads that once saw doing ‘mundane chores’ into “Daily Practice Rituals” then, Oh Mighty Minded and Limbed Warrior, THEN we Rise Higher quickly and skillfully and deliver Peace to others for we ourselves have cultivated inner peace from inner annoyance. This is a huge and pivotal step along not only our own Spiritual Journey, but also for HumanKind(ness).

Treat yourself well today; sweat some, sit some and BE Wherever You Are…

your mountain yogi
