Actual shot of my current Practice Journal which, one day, will result in a series of books to help other WF Sadhaka’s along their own Way. To celebrate my New Year – which usually involved either intense partying or intense outdoor efforts under the moon – my new role as a rookie Father Warrior saw me take the celebration silently and inwardly. A portion of my recording from last night follows below…please do not republish in any manner…thank you and enjoy!

oh wow.
a Gregorian Calendar big m(om)ent!
hec, these days i smile at the thought of how dramatically
i drove sooooo many “New Years Eve” celebrations –
and tonight,
in my Zendo,
in my smile,
an Inner Celebration
more Joyous than all the Outer Celebrations and Drama!

{hand drawn cartoon of myself watching fireworks over my beloved mountains…caption reads:}

“ilg @ 45…Happy to Retreat Inwardly,
my mind is my smiling friend…”

{hand drawn picture of the OM Symbol}

New Year’s Eve; Thoughts In The Zendo:

in the inherent contradiction of the above sentence
IS MY big New Year Eve BASH!
that’s right, i’m just gonna think FREELY AS my Meditation tonight!
no Mantra (ooooh my oh my! how ATTACHED i’ve become to my Sacred Mantra!)
no Tether for the partying mind! wow!!!
this oughta be GREAT!!!!

well,
whoever you are,
wherever you are,
whatever you do…
may YOUR New Year’s Eve Celebration
be Grand as mine!

Love,
Peace,
Joy!

{what follows after this in my Practice Journal is a spontaneous essay on “The Trap of Separation” to be cultivated and used as a Teaching for my students at some point to be determined by Brahman}

Happy New Gregorian Calendar Year…i guess that means something to those locked in Duality…for me? it’s just another day to go skiing, baby!!!

Om So Ti,
