WF Sangha!
i did it! pheewwwww…..i had ZERO legs and no top end today…brick heavy…
had to rely on the WF CHI and kept the Title in the Tribe of Wholeness by a mere :20!

racing a 10k ski skate race one week after a top 20 finish at a 75k Quadrathlon was just too short a turn around for this ol’ New Daddy fart!!

i’m tired with a capital “T”!

what a winter season it has been for me! one more ski race to go…the World’s Highest Nordic Race in Telluride, Colorado coming up in mid-March. i won it two years ago, even though doing so gave me asthma!…stay tuned and THANK YOU for ALL of your SUPPORT! and thank God for the wisdom of sending me the WF Path and the SUNRIDER Herbs, MAP Amino Acids, PowerBar products, Karhu skis, Fischer, and Salomon.

special thanks to my ski coach; Mike Elliot, the wax recipe you sent me probably is what got me those 20 seconds!

below is the report for the local paper:

The Arizona Cup Cross Country Ski Race Series held it’s final race today, the Freestyle/Skate race at Flagstaff Nordic Center. Arizona’s premier cross country ski area has hosted the current 2 race format for 3 years in a row. The first race, a classic style ski race, was held on February 1st, 2009. The best combined time in each race wins the Arizona Cup!

Teresa Hunt came into today’s race undefeated in events at FNC. She finished the day with a gold medal and champion of the Arizona Cup Series. Daniela Penickova finished in second place for the freestyle race.

Karl Granroth raced his first event at Flagstaff Nordic Center and won the gold with a time of 32:34. Last years winner Ryan Schmidt took silver in 34:00 and FNC’s own ski instructor Ken Walters took bronze in 35:09.

Ken Walters had given up over 4 minutes to Steve Ilg in the first race of the AZ Cup Series. Today Steve gave almost all of that time back, but held on to just 20 seconds of his lead to become the AZ Cup Series Champion for the second year in a row.
