Greetings coach! I am emailing you my weekly update from my new work email. I am sure that I do not have to tell you how excited I am to be able to do that, as just a short time ago, I found myself unemployed and almost out of savings.
Well, the unemployment has been corrected, and my savings is slowly rebounding (401K up to 19.38 so far, lol).
Into week 4 of second round of Green Tara. Weight loss holding at 11 pounds, but I’d really like to see 12 for the 10 week total effort (after off weeks).
This week has much on tap, with workouts as scheduled and the excitement of hiking on Sunday, with the warmer weather here in the area.
I have made two fitness goals for myself, one short term and one long term.
The short term goal is a hiking trip to Mt Leconte in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park with an overnight stay on top of the mountain. The trip promises two 5-7 mile mountain terrain hikes depending on the trails used, good food, breathtaking views, and an early morning meditation on top of a mountain! All very nice to a flatlander like myself. That trip is May 5-7th.
The long term goal is to have at least one hike or bike ride weekly between this week and the end of December (if not both!). For the first time in my life, I want to make it a firm goal to take advantage of the eight to nine months of pleasant weather a year here, by making sure im outside at least 1-2 times EVERY week.
Well, off to enjoy snack of almonds and sunflower seeds with an orange.
A wonderful day to you sir!
Aaron Grogan
