Finding Unity through Divorce…
one of the many Challenges of being a Consciously Divorced Father? Breathing through the chronic domesticatification (yeah, I just created another new word by necessity and am not ashamed) intensities of everyday life. I spent most of my life chasing World Championships in more sports than most ever even try (an OUTSIDE MAGAZINE direct quote on one of my features). Nowadays? I just do my best to be present, even-minded, and punctual for my daughter and ex’s crazy schedules. I’ve found that arriving early for ‘drop off’s’ allows Empty Spaciousness through which Dharma can thus arise….such as allowing D and I to create a chalk-and-bubble media presentation for “The Best M(om) Ever” to enjoy on her front steps! The degree of yoga inherent to being Consciously Divorced Parents? Uh, 10,000 x 10,000 times more potent and difficult than all these fancy yoga retreats and ‘intensives’ offered to mostly white, mostly rich people! feeble ilg sez; seeking traditional Yoga? Stay rooted into your everyday life and stay light on Mother Earth/Father Sky!

Thanks for putting up with my Dharma Sword swinging for c(om)mon folk since 1981!
