Undoubtedly a surreal pranic vortex of epic scenic beauty, Porphyry Basin is literally a gem-filled sweet spot within the high San Juans. Join Dewa and feeble ilg during ‘The Horses’ first ever Porphyry Basin experience as we crank a 9.12 mile run and 2,057′ of vert to top out at 12,300’+. Viewer beware; this Vlog is full of alpine streams, snow-fed alpine ponds filled with native Trout, waterfalls, wildlife, and lingering snowbanks well into August. This was my last high, long workout for Dewa before she travelled to National HS Trail Championships.
