Steve
I saw this on DL today:
“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible. This I did.”
I know that well and have two comments:
1) The author was T.E. Lawrence, otherwise known as Lawrence of Arabia.
2) He has a typo. The phrase near the end should be “for they MAKE act their dream…” Lawrence has a peculiar way of using the English language, and punctuation, like no other. The phrase “make act” is an example of that.
All the best
