shhhhh….DON’T tell anybody, but ilg has gotten away with 51 years of world-class living through the Dharma Vehicle of Wholistic Fitnesss®…here’s a peek at my morning…special thanks to Fischer Skiing (Chad Gallwitz) and Kahtoola Snowshoes (Danny Giovale)
spent an hour+ classic skiing in a zen atmosphere of snow, sound of skis gliding through a dusting of new snow on perfectly set nordic tracks…nir-freakin’-vana, let me tell you! OMG, the GLIDE and the KICK i had this morning across the precious, sacred snows! THANK YOU SWIX Wax (Polly) and Chad Gallwitz! ilg feels cOMpassion for all those cyclists and runners and dryland triathletes which refuse the nordic snows and spend all winter on indoor trainers like so many rats in a lab…oooooh!
into 75 minutes of HR Zone 2 doing Trail Work on my Winter Winter Snowshoe Course…Race day (Feb. 9th) is less than two weeks away…no other snowshoe racing course will be more embedded with the Sacred Mantra than mine! i prOMise! photo lower left; the single track section of “ElectraGlide Descent” on my Winter Warrior Snowshoe Racing Course juxtaposed with the nordic track in the sweat-blur lower photo right…West Needle mountains in the background
example of a ‘passing pod’…see how i made the trail swell out? that’s called a ‘passing pod’ so faster snowshoe racers can safely pass at these singletrack junctures.
looking forward to this Sweat
more so than ever….
infatuated with the snow there
excited that it’s there
see you soon….
