Steve,
Im definitely hanging out on the fringe of WF and the community you have created, but I had to write. Years ago, when I was practicing yoga (way before it was cool to do so) lifting weights, meditating (or giving it a shot anyway) and competing in everything from cross-country ski races to triathlons and dual-slalom telemarking, I thought somebody (I was thinking me) ought to write a book that puts this all together. Im glad I didnt. You are eminently more qualified in every department to do so. But our paths have crossed outside of that philosophy. I lived and worked in Santa Fe when you were there getting your gig started and remember seeing your first books at the Ark bookstore. Now there is more coincidence with your move to Arizona. Flagstaff is where I took my first yoga class after I had broken my back in a car accident. It is where I learned to ski, started racing, learned to climb and run. It is where my idea of holistic fitness began and it is the philosophy that I live by to this day. It is incredibly comforting to know that there is a community of people who are living this way, mindfully making their way through the world.

In January Ill turn 50. I want to be in the best shape of my life on that day. More than that, I want to be accepting of my place in the world. That will take as much effort as the physical training. I appreciate your book and the energy you continue to exude. Best of luck to you in your new place in the world and thanks for the help youve given me on my journey.
