Noble Sangha,
what i learned from last weekend’s race as i enter my 8th year as a Daddy….
1) never race to your expected levels if you just jump into a race underprepared
2) prioritize what is most import (taking care of your chi-ilds multi-dimensional needs) and re-calibrate everything about your own performance from that baseline…which will be categorically different (on the lesser performance side of things) than when you were NOT a Conscious Daddy….
3) have a quick memory Let-Go button in your brain…

after attending to Dewa’s ski gear and her first time ever on skate skis, i had zero warm up, no wax for my skis and for some inexplicable reason i went out hard and fast with Collegiate Champions Sepp Kuss and Hakkon Silgerslid, and Miles Venzara. i lasted 3k at their tremendous pace before totally going into oxygen debt, dismantling technique-wise, and basically just trying to finish. which i did; 3rd from last…
