A WF HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO STUDENT SHEL!!!


Here is a shot of fiftysomething WF Online Warrioress Shelli crankin’
on her bike, “Hank”, named in honor of Coach Henry Steven Ilg, during a
Private Intensive in Flagstaff. As you will read below, Shelli ain’t entering the
second half of her precious life with anything less than the Intelligent Spiritual Fitness
wisdom and sweat of WF Online Training, baby! She, unlike the millions of others
in her age range, is rapidly turning back the
Physiologic Clock as the Chronologic one clicks uselessly forward. That is Ananda
keeping an eye on this wonderful Warrioress of the Inner WF Way! Read on and be
INSPIRED by this Goddess of the Graceful Fitness Path; WF!

as you know,
i teach my Online Students that chronological birthdays don’t mean shit.
here is what “WF Birthdays” are all about in the words of WF Online Student Shel;

“Sweet Coach,
I had a birthday this month—-after 3 years of dedicated practice with
your yoga video two fridays ago during the hip opener series—i was able
to #1 cross my legs–you know ankle bone on opposite knee and go all the
way down and get those legs to touch and #2 i did this while i was
holding my hands clasped behind my back…………it was AWESOME and i
don’t know if you felt it but i jumped out of my skin and astral
projected and gave you a big HUG…………man oh man i love myself !!
My patience and TLC–truly a gift i bestow on myself…………”

(Student Shel has lost 3lbs of fat, and has replaced that fat with lean, new muscles in just
her first WF Online Cycle!) check out
her Willingness to Question Everything and RESEARCH:
“I was going to e-mail you with a question –then a little voice told me
you’d give it back to me as svadhyaya so i decided to find the answer
myself. The question was “why does Strength Training give suppleness to muscles?”. i
did lots of reading and research and here’s what i found–the short
version—-as muscles become stronger they experience superior blood flow
making them more pliable, more elastic , more conducive to allowing the
joints to flex and extend throughout a normal ROM (Range Of Motion). Flexibility is
determined by muscular strength. Am i on the money here—–what else is
key to my understanding here ? This could be why i approached the ST
with such pleasure this cycle as i will in future cycles !

Oh OverComers of Duality;
“BIRTHDAYS” should be synonymous with “BREAKTHROUGHS!”
The WF Warrior does not celebrate the arbitrary passing of chronologic years! that is stupid!
Anyone can die while passing time!
Do not celebrate chronologic birthdays;
instead
Celebrate BREAKTHROUGHS!
What is a real WF Birthday?
It’s when you have slaved and sweated and purified yourself
in some aspect of your Practice…when you have suffered through so many tiny signs of ” progress”
that you don’t think your mind and body and Will are strong enough to endure…
then, suddenly; BOOM! A BREAKTHROUGH!
that, my Noble WF Brothers and Sisters is a
WF BIRTHDAY!

BIRTHDAY WORDS:
“This first cycle has been great–challenging me in all
ways and i take it all in—-stillness i am finding and plenty of
sweat—could bottle and sell the stuff but then again it’s MY sacred
sweat and i love every damn bead of it…………….looking forward

I am blessed you are my coach and friend……………….and i am of
better service in my world because of it.
