A surprise sponsorship came through enabling me to return to one of Colorado’s most famous two-day Nordic race weekend; the Snow Mountain Stampede at Snow Mountain Ranch just outside Winter Park aka, “the ice box of Colorado”!
My intent was to race it as a recon for an attempt next year at the youngest end of the 60-69 AG. Turns out i fared pretty good even at the oldest end of the 50-59 AG, not to mention a shot within the OA Podium! A cool thing about this race is that a long time Nordic hero of mine, Todd Lodwick who is a 6x Nordic Combined Olympian (won a Team Silver and was a Flag Bearer for the US) is the Race Director!
