STUDENT TOBE WRITES TO YOU FROM DAY ONE OF HIS WF INTENSIVE:
Here I am in Flagstaff Arizona. Fall. Blue sky, the sun and aspens amongst the pine trees. Wow. The wind hums through the trees. And Coach Ilg is there with a smile on his face and many words of encouragement. We are on a mountain bike ride after a short session of Zazen postural teaching. We are 1 hour into the ride and already I am better rider. Up dog man. Wow, I cleaned that section.
After our ride, I feel wonderful and spent. Coach is fast, and soft. How does he do that?
After a beautiful lunch made lovingly by Ananda, I melt into my bed for an hours rest.
Then on to a one-one-one yoga session with Ananda. Man, they don’t teach yoga like that at our gym in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. There are many subtleties to yoga, minute adjustments, that make all the difference in the world. And they make the pran flow much stronger. I never knew Tadasana could feel like that.
I have been here less than 12 hours and already I am more whole, a different person.
Coach and Ananda are beautiful people that are make this world a better place. And I thank them for their teachings and being in all of our corners.
We are blessed.
Namaste to all of you. More later.
