it gives me great honor to be accepted by Red Rock Racing, a Flagstaff based bicycle racing team for 2006. the locals worked the new “old guy from Los Angeles” pretty hard for the past seven months, yet, i guess i kinda showed ’em that i ain’t going away…as soon as my new Team’s website is up, i will let you know.

here is how i answered my new Team’s request for a bio…as you can tell, Red Rock Racing reflects Flag; we are a low-key team that just wants to keep bike racing and training as fun as it is supposed to be. a little different from my time with Team Motorola! enjoy:

Our sangha is a very kind yet devoted Tribe of ‘fitness warriors’ that realize the necessity of lifetime exercise. those who gravitate toward Wholistic Fitness� are those people who wish to use their personal fitness training as a vehicle of Self Cultivation. it’s a fun, though very Steep and Difficult Path of Self Transformation. Basically? i train people over the internet through Online Fitness Programs that incorporate; strength, cardio, yoga, meditation, and whole food nutrition with lifestyle principles that serve to bring peace and power into daily life activity.

Oh, i am also a vestigial remnant of a USCF Coach from the “Golden Era” of American cycling; Hampsten, Roll, Grewal, Overend, Team 7-Eleven, Sara Ballantyne, Penny Davidson, et. al. i edited the coaching manuals for USCF and my coaching license was signed by…drumroll….Chris Carmichael.

Colorado University in Boulder had the best buildering routes and babes,
but Naropa University under the Guidance of Rinpoche Trungpa offered the best education by far.

How I started riding:

at age 7 my best friend Bobby Nielon challenged me to a skidding contest on our Schwinn Sting Rays…i kicked his ass by like 3 feet and he had to give me his red Mustang HotWheels�….YEAH BABY! HA!

You can usually find me riding:

at a pedal cadence around 180…still working on mastering my spin.

Favorite thing to do after a race:

shower.
