Hey, you guys you know me…if i am gonna do anything, i’m gonna do my best to set a new Standard for it…so, when the WF Deities told me i had to write THE WINTER ATHLETE…Secrets of Wholistic Fitness� For Outdoor Performance…i took it upon myself to compete in and qualify for as many elite winter sports as any human on the planet. Mission Accomplished, baby! That is why this Noble, yet still essentially ignored book, contains what i TAF is my best training programs and chi filled writing. Countless hours of hypothermic epic workouts through a dizzying array of physiologically diverse sports went into this Sacred Scripture of Cold Sweat! DL QUIZ WINNER:

God I love this Path! Are we Wacked yet Tapped or What?!

well, i am crowning the EVER NOBLE, EVER QUICK TO ANSWER THE TEMPLE GONG; DAN SALIMONE! of San Jose, CA as the DL WINTER SPORTS WINNER! he came closest to the correct answer which is…10 different, Olympic Medal Sports that i have competed in throughout the years:

The only one DanSan messed up was Freestyle Skiing…i was groomed as a young ski racer to do one thing; go fast as hell and tracked like a Porsche on smooth, brick hard, groomed alpine and nordic ski courses…i stayed well, well, well away from the “bump runs”…in fact, to this day i can’t help but feel Freestyle Skiing is a contrived “Olympic Medal Sport” and should be replaced by something more historic, more noble…more suffering; such as Sport Snowshoeing or Speed Peak Skiing (having to ski/climb a mountain peak and back down in the fastest round trip time).

Anyway, here is the correct list in chronologic order beginning when i was 8 years old;
ice hockey, speed skating, alpine ski slalom, alpine ski giant slalom, alpine ski super GS, alpine ski downhill, nordic ski jumping, nordic ski classic, nordic ski skating, snowboarding.

Highest Level Reached: US Jr. National Ski Team (nordic combined).

And to close this Quiz,
here is a another list of winter sports in which i have competed yet have not, for SOME SCREWED UP REASON, not received Olympic Medal Status:
extreme skiing, extreme snowboarding, ski joring, speed peak climbing/skiing, telemark ski racing (it’s where ALL the skiing sports began for King Olaf’s SAKE!!!!!), sport snowshoeing,winter mountaineering, winter mountain bike racing, technical ice climbing.

Highest Level Reached: World Mountain Snowshoe Championships (2x).
