“…all i know is when i come to my yoga mat,

i love to Breathe and Move my body.

and when my back or hips or ‘whatever body part’ is calling out to me,

it’s my responsibility to go within

through the Breath,

even if i’m on the verge

of tears

or vomit,

i must call upon my Warrior Spirit to guide me

into the depths of my issues,

which are hiding in my tissues.

‘…Joy and Pain,

sunshine and rain…’

So i bow to yourlower back duhkha (suffering) and

graciously and humbly thank you for your kind words.

OM TAT SAT,

joy”

{Joy Kilpatrick, whose WF name is Ananda, is a certified WF Online Teacher, HP Yoga Teacher, and accomplished actress. The above online conversation took place between her and WF Teacher Q recently. i felt the power and sincerity of Ananda’s words captured

exquisitely what i and so many others experience on the yoga mat as we start breathing into our pains, restrictions, and weaknesses. There are no shortcuts for anyone. Teacher Ananda has a few openings for new Online and Private students. Don’t miss that chance to study under her graceful and ever growing wisdom. i took the above photo of Ananda at sunset before going rock climbing during our HP Yoga Summer Retreat at Red Mountain Spa this summer. May this entry empower your Practice today for the benefit of many. That is all, Coach Ilg.}
