see this? this is America’s version of ‘throw-away’ produce…
well, in this WF h(om)e?
this throw-away treasure chest of bib lettuce, radish, cabbage, romaine lettuce, tomato’s, carrots, iceberg lettuce is FAR from ‘throw away’….let me explain…
each week, we look forward to a call from our local whole-food grocery, Vitamin Cottage, to tell us that their ‘un-sellable’ produce is ready to be picked up…for FREE! we (well, let me be honest…Ananda) rushes down to the store, mere minutes away, and brings h(om)e to our Chicken Beings – Sita and Ram (i’m still not quite sure which is which) – a trash bag (do you sense the irony?) full of amazingly resplendent produce which we kinda ceremoniously present before Sita and Ram who proceed to dive in while clucking so cutely ilg could just eat them and the produce right up! oh…and another side benefit of all this luscious produce that would otherwise fill our landfill?….
our live-in Mule Deer Being, Breeho, finishes up any scraps left by Sita and Ram then proceeds to nap the rest of the afternoon away…totally unperturbed by our comings and goings…yes, you see the pic right; Breeho prefers to stay inside our Chicken Coop!

c’mon…how stinkin’ cute and perfect is THIS scenario!?!?

That’s fantastic! Your Mule Deer friend reminds me of another that follows my friends everywhere. The live in Sisters, Oregon. It walks into their home and tries to get in the car with them. Naturally, the deer being has been named Velcro.
just goes to show that the most timid, yet, gracious-beings feel right at home of the WF temple!!
