The incomprehensible, chronic actions of killers in Kali Yuga just did not have enough Dharma in their DNA…
it’s likely to continue…until Dharma Teachers are as prevalently prescribed as, well? Prescribed Meds!

Most Noble Sangha…

Kali Yuga…take a Conscious Breath…since over the mandatory 3 questions from Students asking my view on what happened in CT…

first,  phew….just Feel…feel the torment of the shooter…feel the Beyond Words cellular, spiritual pain of the families who lost their Loved Ones during the shooting…

and that is just It, isn’t it?

we must prioritize a BALANCE of Feeling and Thinking…in order to move toward Wholeness Of Being…a Whole Being would not open fire in an elementary school.
yet, each of us opens fire whenever we choose entertainment over inner-attainment…when we choose Drama over Dharma.

what does feeble ilg TAF about Connecticut?

Om Mani Padme Hung…

we,  as a Nation,  need more Dharma Teachers and less Drama…

too much violent video games,
too much TV/iPad’s as baby-sitters (for our chi-ldren and for our own egoic fix),
too much outer world,  not enough inner world

too much

too much

too much of too many Things…

a Student wrote me tonight:

“With today’s Tragic-Events (Conneticut-shooting) i felt deep sorrow for those directly involved and dedicated my solo-practice for them.  Of course unlike all tragedies that occur each day i felt some connection to todays’ events, why… well because  {my sons} share the same age as those involved; i can’t imagine what the parents are feeling right now that lost a (chi)ld today.

With those TAF’ings still saturating my mind i ask you…. at what point do WE as parents introduce to our (chi)ildren the importance of Awareness?  An awareness that signals the tragedy if one commits such actions, or, that tragedy may strike upon us personally one day?  What route does a conscious-parent take to transmit such awareness, especially a parent that is barely, if minutely, AWARE?”

We introduce Awareness to our Chi-ldren through our own everyday Way of Being.   Not our everyday Way of Doing, no, no, no…our everyday Way of BEING.   our precious Chi-ldren read every nuance, every flicker, every little inflection from within our expression of self.   They mirror us.   When we dwell within, take rejoice within, and c(om)municate without restraint our OWN loving gratitude for and love immersion within the miracle of life each day;  who made our forks?  how did this food get to our table?  who made the table?  toothpaste and teeth brushing!  what an HONOR to have teeth of which to take care and how DID that fresh, beautiful water get to our faucet from a wild river born from winter snow…oh, the miracles!

If we, as Parents, truly TAF  the everyday miracles?   Then that Wholistic Awareness  begets a Tribal, Cellular, Spiritual Drumming within our 17 trillion cells and cannot but help to Transmit an all-ec(om)passing embrace of sorrow, happiness, and Sacred Non-Duality without Too Much Attachment or Too Much Aversion within our Chi-ldrens’ own cells.

Keeping the inescapable fact of Dying and Death out in front of our Chi-ldren’s upbringing is tantamount.   An injured Rock Dove, bleeding and broken-winged courtesy from our own Cat?  Makes a perfect Dharma Teaching opportunity to our Chi-ldren;  all that now breathes and moves will one day not breath nor move…all of us must go back to Go(o)d and Begin Again, until Enlightenment.    So,  Chi-ld;  do Go(o)d,  be Go(o)d in this precious life…

They get it…
for remember, Noble Sangha,  our Chi-ldren are far more freshly minted from Go(o)d’s unconditional embrace  than you or i…

The Route toward Transmitting Awareness of the cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth is understood easily by our Chi-ldren if we, as parents/guardians,  LIVE in Wholistic Awareness.

See?  once again?  It All just boils down to our Own Solo Practice…

May this help…

and,  God Bless CT….

Blessed Be All,

stay on the Path Toward Wholeness..keep moving Higher…regardless of the difficulty…

that is all,

*   actually,  i paraphrased this from a Sufi spiritual saying of which ilg is fond which goes,  “Trust in Allah,  but tie your camel.”

This is the only thing I read that makes any sense. I do not know how to communicate this to anyone else, but it is simple and obvious. If this shooter had been hugged every day, would this have happened?

I just feel that if I lived every day with a smile on my face and enjoyment in my heart, just maybe we can create the kind of world where this never happens.
