“The Awakened Yogi, knowing of the inevitability of pain mingled with pleasure which makes up a human incarnation, attempts through steadfast Practice to slay plurality, watching all duality become diluted in the Holy Water of one’s Sweat until all separateness fades into the growing, luminosity of Oneness.

Being Gifted a child brings up ones own mortality as well as the utter preciousness of life with a resounding depth recollected from countless lifetimes across the Six Realms.
Though the Pain of an Awakened Life be great to the Yogi, it should be worshipped daily through Sweat and Spirit for not only in Pain does the Yogi trust as a portal Higher, he or she knows and trusts in an even greater albeit formless Go(o)d known as Prana. To trust in Prana over Pain may require for some of us 10,000 lives. Maybe more.”

1) Sedona vibrates Father Sky in the background as a Western Bluebird is silhouetted by a classic, silky southwestern sky from 10,000′.

photo 2) looking north west, Mt. Sitgreaves on the left, Mt. Kendrick to the right (see DL 9/1/07 for my running ascent of Kendrick).

photo; Dewa’s first high altitude hike to celebrate Her 50th Day of taking Form. do i look tentative? hell YEAH! taking one’s own month and a half old baby up to 10,000′ for a two mile hike triggered similar endocrine responses from my cells as once did my elite mountaineering escapades! special thanks to Shishya Tom Carpenter for gifting us the absolutely fantastic “Ergo Baby Carrier”! we will have many, many, many divine m(om)ents thanks to your generosity, Shishya! THANK YOU!

My Beloved Ananda, mother of Dewachen, was as high as kite on the Pranically Saturated autumn meadows of our hike. “I feel great!” she kept exclaiming along the path which twisted, serpent like through massive, old growth fir, ponderosa, and especially aspens – some of which carried markings from ancient Basque shepards who once tended sheep in these lofty meadows. In the background is the cirque of the Sacred Peak; Doko Oosliid on the far left with her three false summits, the ski area directly behind Ananda, and Agassiz Peak on the far right.

Ah! this is more like it! my tentativeness drizzled away the moment my hands touched my faithful lifelong friend; Rock Being! A historic ascent this as Dewa and i ascend victoriously the first likely ascent of the route which Dewa named, “The West Face of Grandfather Turtle Rock,” which i graded conservatively at I, 5.0 (r). Even Ananda climbed the face to share our first family group hug on a hard earned summit!

“Oh that my monk’s robes
were wide enough to gather up
all the people floating in this world.”

Dewa post hike. She LOVED Her first high altitude hike! throughout the 45-minute expedition, Her lotus eyes drank in the screaming blue sky and sweeping tree branches. She coo’d and slept as in back in the womb thanks to the Ergo Carrier.

i considered it Parental SvaDharma (Sacred Duty) to bring Dewa up here on this auspicious fiftieth day to empower Her maturing nadic channels with the high concentration and purity of the Pran in this alpine meadow beneath the Sacred Peak. Even if, God forbid, She leaves us tomorrow, at least Ananda and i have done our best to grace Her with incalculable love and cultivation of Her subtle anatomy so as to benefit Her Soul energy. As an infant’s vayu’s (internal conduits of pranic wind) come ‘online’ a steady diet of pranic immersions like this hike indelibly and positively influence their subtle anatomy. perhaps the primary reason why Tibetan Yoga is the most spiritually advanced culture is physiologically based; the Tibetan Plateau lowest elevation is 13,000′! that is a LOT of pure Pran to grow up with!

There are many ways of amplifying and redirecting the Pran in our bodies from the lowest centers (chakras) toward the highest. WF achieves this in the most practical way for Westerners who think they have “so little time” for “exercise” or “self cultivation” yet still, like All Beings in All Realms, just really want to be happy, peaceful, and Fearless of Death. The practicality of WF Online Training is paced at the Student’s willingness and never, ever ventures outside the Sacred Scriptures to develop what i call, “The Nuts and Bolts of Enlightenment” through Personal Lifestyle Fitness.

May this DL have brought a smile and a whisper of something special to your precious, pranic day!

head bowed,
the mountain yogi
