yup, every several months this pic keeps picking up steam on the internet…
every several months OUTSIDE Magazine teases ilg with, “the possibility of re-visiting your feature, 25 years later…”
well, ilg ain’t holding my breath for nobody, especially OUTSIDE whose the first to sell out the genuine Sacredness of outdoor athletics for a quick buck (i mean, how many times can my h(om)e town be on their stupid TOP TEN PLACES TO LIVE list?!).
actual story: at the time, both Andre (Agassi and Ilg were NIKE sponsored (ilg representing the then A.C.G. – All Conditions Gear – Line of NIKE) and we met a couple of times at a few gigs…at airports, during that time, i got mistaken for Andre several times because i would be toting around big NIKE gear bags with my blond-bleached mullet, et. al…so, hate to spill the beans, but there are a few false Andre Agassi autographs i gave out…
what a silly, treasured, precious, absurd, Sacred life-run this Time Around has been for me…
