Those of you that live in Durango and take our weekly HP Yoga™ classes,  you already know that we begin our practice with a recitation of this most ancient of prayers which all Buddha’s of the past have reportedly prayed.  By doing so, we connect ourselves with that astonishingly relevant Tribe of Awakened Spiritual Athletes which goes back in time for eons.  Each time i begin a class with this Sacred Prayer, i find myself easily moved by the awareness that, as Soygal Rinpoche says,  “…we and all other sentient beings fundamentally have the Buddha nature as our innermost essence, and that to realize it is to be free of ignorance and to put an end, finally, to suffering.”

I continue to get requests for the Prayer, and thus have put it here for you and i’ll also put in the Yoga Chamber in the SanghaLounge.

May all be inspired with the motivation to dedicate our sweat, our stillness, and our lives, to the enlightenment of all beings everywhere…

By the power and the truth of this practice:

May all beings have happiness, and the causes of happiness;

May all be free from sorrow, and the causes of sorrow;

May all never be separated from the sacred happiness which is sorrowless;

And may all live in equanimity, without too much attachment and too much aversion,

And live believing in the equality of all that lives.
