Mastery of those (tat) – the activities of the mind – is cultivated through practice (abhyasa) and detachment (vairagyam)

It’s a funny thing, this spiritual journey.  The ongoing snychronicities (Om So Ti’s) which leap, slide, slither into our Consciousness like spiritual cairns to guide our misty Way ever Higher, out of the clouded, hectic mind waves.

In ilg’s early books and blogs,  ilg used to pray out loud in print;
“If only ONE Human Being could age as gracefully,
as beautifully,  as elegantly and with as much detachment as one single Aspen Leaf!??!?  THAT’S the Human Being that feeble yogi ilg would LOVE to take Study beneath!”

Then, age 57,  ilg takes the above pic of ilg’s precious M(om) yesterday
in La Plata Canyon after She waited patiently for Dewa and ilg to finish a workout way up high on Eagle Pass.

ilg snapped the pic, then got to wondering,
wow…ilg’s own M(om) is doing Her best to show – at age 89.98 years-young?
How to age as gracefully as an Aspen Leaf Being.

Let’s Practice Hard this precious week together,
without too much Attachment
or too much Aversion…
we’ve got Inner Work to do
to bridge the gap to the Aspen Leaf Beings…
