Since taking this job two years ago as Trails/Property Manager at Edgemont Highlands after retiring from many years as Crew Leader at Durango Trails® (formerly Trails 2000), this forlorn, non functioning footbridge on the TomTom Trail was a significant blimp upon many other blimps on my mind to upgrade.  With 15 miles of trails under my solo charge up and down 700′ vertical feet at 7,500′ elevation?  feeble ilg literally goes to sleep shuffling through the priorities of trail work jobs to do…this TomTom Trail has been a high priority… don’t know wtf the guy who had ilgs job actually did for 8 years?  Yet, apparently Trail Maintenance was NOT a super high priority like it is for feeble ilg… there is literally pounds of exposed rebar on the weird timber sidings of the 7 miles of mulch trails we have and a football fields amount of exposed under trail plastic … it’s crazy…like HOW do you consider yourself to be in charge of maintaining and providing safe trails for the community and just let that shit slide for… 8 years and just collect the paycheck!?!?

“The map is not the territory,” quote came again to ilgs mind when ilg began deep work into what ilg thought would be a simpler Footbridge Upgrade Task…

it quickly became obvious that not only was this footbridge non-functional (zero clearance under the bridge for run off water to flow under) but the structural foundation of the bridge was completely rotten.  The bridge was literally disintegrating upon itself and dying into the impacted muck from years of no TLC…

well, feeble ilg?

ALL-WAYS has a quiverful of TLC for ANY Transformation Project, be it of earth, human, relationship, or inner selves.

Finding and repurposing Trailwork materials is apparently a superpower of ilgs… did not realize my Footbridge Upgrade Task was now transformed into a

full throttle Bridge Replacement Project ilg called upon said superpowers to procure needed materials without any cost to the community…

Stoked about how this Footbridge Replacement Project – that ilg knew was inevitable and took charge of – turned out!   Used all repurposed materials and spent
not one cent of my communities $ on.  turned out pretty fly.  Sacred Sweat well worth it. looks pretty fly and should benefit more safely many others for a long time.
