barely wheezed my fat feeble ass across less than 3 miles of relatively flat road/bike path terrain today before doing trail work…
omg… Plz wish feeble ilg luck… #runningishard

hear ilg:
nordic ski racing is soooo hard;  upper body + lower body going into red line sooo fast and for distances from 5k to 50k as ilg did this winter…

yet?

 

RUNNING!!??!

 

ok; tbh…
can no longer call what ilg does now as “running’,. that would be a great disservice to those who can actually run.

ilg wrote in THE OUTDOOR ATHLETE (1985):
“There are those who run and then? There are runners.”

ilg USED to be a runner.
now?  barely able to get above what ilg used to recognize as a jog when ilg wore younger running garb;  New Zealand Split Shorts and Nike Waffle Trainers 2’s…

that was when 1o0/mile weeks flew by as I and my main other narcissistic training partner;  Mike Kibler couldn’t run past a Boulder storefront without seeing how jacked
our gastroc splits looked in the window reflection..  we were insane. it was soooo fun.

today;  began ilgs dryland training..(meaning;  having to train and race terrain without snow covering it)….

Horse Pic:  omg…this beautiful Horse Being and ilg TOTALLY became lovers… he would mimic my stomping, head tossing, and neighing… sooooo precious!!!   

check my Strava for my feeble 2.8 mile route… however humble ilgs’ effort was today at trying to be a runner again?

START… just fucking DO SOMETHING!

 

do what it takes to get OUT THE DOOR, SLAY THE TIME SLOT, and RUN, or? MOVE… OR JUST  BREATHE (preferably outdoors)

 

Also;  knew Dewa Ilg loved her Nike Peg’s… this was my first run in the Air Pegs… kinda twinning her love on them with just a couple of miles registered…they seem to keep ilg running forefoot by that Nike magic…

after ilgs “old man shuffling”… was super hungry, yet ilg is c(om)mitted to my OMAD (eating only;  One Meal A Day=OMAD)  since Dewa left for college… love the Empty Lower Chakral feeling of just eating one meal per day,  plus loving the ramped up mental focus of OMAD  … thank the Deities for Sunrider Whole Food Herbs, Asea Saced Molecules, and Bodyhealth Perfect Aminos…if you wanna FLY HIGH ALL DAY!??!   lmk…

was super stoked to receive soooo much love from the Trail Users for making their trails so much better…
