Rose Pedals is owned by STALWART HP Yogi’s Melissa and John “Asoka” Van Sant.  Asoka, as you may recall, earned the 2010 HP Yogic Warrior Of The Year Award.

try to tell ilg that there is ANYTHING cuter on this plane(t) than the shared backsides of your Beautiful Beloved Ones walking down a sidewalk whirled by masked holiday gleeful celebrators many of whom GIVE US TREATS for FREE!??!!  think of what’s hitting Dewachen’s cells…oh man!   How Blessed Are WE!?!??!

however, remember Noble Warriors toward Wholeness…
all-ways, all-ways – even if thee are a FACELESS GHOUL –
give your Beloved One a hug…even if your chi-ld is having a case of the “Don’t-take-my-picture!”‘s…

can’t say enough about my h(om)etown on this Frightfest of Nights…from 4-6 the Durango Downtown Merchants bandy together and offer treats to young children…it’s an awesome, inspiring message of safety, sugary scintillation, and scary but not too scary immersion into the netherworld of ghouls, witches, and whatever!

after scoring a TON of treats which overflowed her Purple Pumpkin treat-carrier (see photo #2 above)  my precious purple-addicted-bunny daughter, mommy, and me hit up our favorite downtown Durango ‘fancy’ (in Dewa’s world) restaurant; Cosmos, where we know all the Servers (usually our babysitters and/or neighbors) and where the chef makes a Dewa Special of healthy mac and cheese, salmon, and spinach…yum!

It was here, during dinner, where our little Rinpo started schooling M(om)my and i on the yogic principle of Vairāgya…non-attachment…as she began giving away her Halloween treats to anyone who would listen…

….like Nicole,  our waitress (and our next door neighbor)…i mean, like any grown up is like gonna refuse a pink Tootsie Roll® from Dewa?
i DON’T THINK SO…!!!

and i’d have to spiritually question you if you did!?!!

here is the final stat of Dharma Teaching from my 4 year-young Dewachen:

• she collected over 80 sweets from her Halloween evening.
• she ate precisely 1 Sweetie tablet (from the roll and gifted one tablet to me)
• 1 Tootsie Roll® tiny size
• 1 organic sucker
• 4 M&M’s®

then chose to sell ALL the rest to Mommy and Daddy in order to buy a miniature horse playset from DurangoKids…which we did and donated the sweets to charity.

just sayin’…

and so…until the freshen fallen autumn colors surrender beneath a blanket of welcomed snows,
may you dance with delight like the untethered chi-ld that you are
among the vivid, changing colors of illusion which make up this DreamSpeak we call, “life”…
