Lap 2 was sooooo stinking brutal. Chronically sucking in massive amounts of spray water flung from spinning wheels while flinging soaked self after all these Two Bits was REALLY beginning to test my natural state of yogic equanimity while inflaming my genetic predisposition toward Teutonic Barbarianism. I felt a deep urge for a hockey stick and some solid boards into which i could take into some of these weasel-looking roadies.

my dad – who passed away three years ago last week – was a supremely tough German…stubborn as the day is long. if young ilg would so much as begin to utter a complaint or whimper about doing yet another one of his regularly assigned 10,000 chores for me? he’d immediately interrupt my balking tendency to roar (while usually throwing something he had in his one good hand), “Oh for CHRISTS SAKES!!!…FORGET IT…I’LL DO IT MYSELF!!!! Why don’t you just go inside and cut out paper dolls with your mother!?!?”
FREAKIN’ AWESOME 65 mile Club Ride (Cherry Creek) with 14 miles of dirt! rode the last 22 miles with a broken spoke; way to hold up my precious ROLF wheels! we hit the final roller at 33mph! you kiddin’ me!?!?! soooo beautiful! Sacred Sweat, baby! ilg was stoked to finish with the whittled down by attrition lead group of 5! thank you WHOLISTIC FITNESS®!! immediately transitioned not into rest, no, no, no…had to step up into the endlessly energetic demands of being a Conscious Daddy to a 5 year-old…not feeling too much like
